October 18, 2024. I’ll just cut to the chase.

After 11 months of little or no activity, the cancer is growing again.

My tumor marker is higher. My right paratracheal and axillary nodal metastases are larger.

The sweet and surprisingly lengthy pause from treatment I’ve enjoyed is likely coming to an end.

I’ll know more after my consultation with Rugo on Tuesday.

Thanks for hanging in there with me.

I always felt that the great high privilege, relief and comfort of friendship was that one had to explain nothing. —Katherine Mansfield

  1. Hey Lana – This news saddened me. I was hoping you were done with treatments. Thanks for continuing to keep me and the others updated on this wild journey you’ve been on. May the forces of goodness continue to stay with you.

  3. Dear Lana

Tom and I send you lots of love honey on your healing path. We’ve had some setbacks here too. Tom had a ladder collapse on him, broke his wrist and heel so we’re kind of in a healing mode too. I think we’ll all be fine. Love you lots.

  4. I hope your meeting with Dr Rugo will provide you with another treatment option going forward. I know you’re going to continue to fight as long as it makes sense. It was so wonderful to see you in Ukiah. Love you so much. ❤️
